XLR 4600
The Javelin 640 was a baseband modem providing full duplex operation
at speeds up to 64kbps synchronous and 19.2kbps asynchronous on
2-wire circuits at a range of up to 8km.

Network Management System
Stored Configurations
The Javelin 640 has 8 pre-stored configurations, and can also store
up to 4 user defined configurations. It can be configured from the
front panel buttons or via the command port with AT commands without
interrupting the current operation of the main data channel.
Network 16 compatible
As a fully managed component in the Network 16 range of data transmission
products, the Javelin 640 is available either as a standalone unit
or as a rack card for use in the Network 16 racking system alongside
existing modem products. The rack card version occupies a single
slot in a Network 16 rack.
Standalone Version
In its standalone form, the Javelin 640 uses the same enclosure
as the Syncro and Mayze modems.
Both the standalone unit and rack card have LEDs and front panel
buttons for loading configurations, invoking tests and monitoring
the interface status.
