20 to 300Mbps WiMax

Using MIMO (Multiple In Multiple Out) Technology at 5.8Ghz/5.9Ghz Case Communications WiMax solutions provide data rates from 10Mbps to 300Mbps with ranges up to 200Km (120 miles). Gigabit WiMax equipment can provide links up to 5Km.

Case Communications use a number of products to provide WiMax services, depending on the data rate, range and functionality required.

Apart from providing point to point links its also possible to provide point to multipoint links thereby ensuring we have the correct technology to meet the application.

Pre-requisites for the provision of WiMax Service

Before installing a WiMax system its necessary undertake a plot of the terrain between the two sites which require connecting to determine if there are any major obstructions (hills etc.) and to determine the antennae height that will be required to obtain the required data rates. To calculate a plot Case Communications simply add the two post codes into their plotting system and obtain a graph similar to the graph shown below. In this example we can see that ground level to the left is 37 metres above sea level and to the right its 42 metres above sea level. There are no obvious obstructions between the locations which are 6Km apart and with Antennae 10 metres above ground level we can achieve excellent data rate.
