The Case Communications R3-8P-24S-4X-G  is supplied with  8 x 10/100/1000Mbps PoE/PoE+ ports, 24 x 100 / 1000 SFP Ports and 4 x 10Gbps SFP Ports. It has a 598 Gbps non-blocking backplane and can switch 107.14 Million packets per second. It has 32MB of buffer, 128MB of FLASH and 1GB of RAM, ensuring its able to cope with the highest demands.

The Case Communications R3-8P-24S-4X-G 10Gbps  L3 Industrial RackMount Ethernet Switch has layer 3 network management functionality and supports IPv4 / IPv6 management and static route full line rate fowarding. Routing between VLANS also provides segmentation and flexibility.

The R3-8P-24S-4X-G supports multiple network redundancy protocols such as STP (Spanning Tree Protocol (802.1D)), RSTP Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol (802.1w))>, MSTP (Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol (802.1s)) and ITU-T G.8032 (ERPS (Ethernet Ring Protection Switching).

The G.8032 Recommendation to provide sub-50ms protection and recovery switching for Ethernet traffic in a ring topology and at the same time ensuring that there are no loops formed at the Ethernet layer.

The Case Communications R3-8P-24S-4X-G can be managed via a Web Browser, CLI, Console, or SNMPv1 / v2C , V3.  the connection can be secured using HTTPS (Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure) ,  SSLv3 (Secure Socket Layer V3) and SSHV1/V2 (Secure Shell ) for secure management.

The R3-8P-24S-4X-G supports RMON (Remote Network Monitoring), a system log, port traffic statistics, and easy viewing of the networks optimisation. Diagnostics include CPU Utilisation, Memory Monitoring Ping detection, and cable length detection.

The Case Communications R3-8P-24S-4X-G supports dynamic or static binding for the users, via an IP Address, MAC Address, VLAN or Ports etc. The R3-8P-24S-4X-G supports ‘Port Isolation’ to prevent communications between two neighbouring devices within the same broadcast domain, which improves network stability. The R3-8P-24S-4X-G also supports ‘Storm Control’ and can suppress broadcast, Multi-cast and unicast storms.

Support for specific ARP inspections can effectively prevent ‘ARP Spoofing attacks’ which can be created by hackers or attackers via ARP Packets.
