6540 Industrial dsl router with PoE & 4G Backup Option

6540Industrial DSL 4G Gateway Router

6540 Industrial V.DSL, ADSL,Fibre router
The Case Communications 6540 is an Industrial Broadband Router with V.DSL, ADSL, 4G, and Fibre, with the ability to support back up via a smart Cellular LTE / 4G SIM to provide alternate routes for maximum resilience, and most importantly allow routing by application.
ADSL 2+
The 6540-Industrial V.DSL ADSL Fibre Router , supports ADSL 2+ (G.992.5) for use on existing networks, providing a maximum downline rate of 24Mbps and an standard upstream rate of 1.4Mbps, furthermore an upstream rate of 3.3Mbps can be achieved using Annex M.
V.DSL2
6540-Industrial Broadband Router also supports V.DSL2 (Very-high-bit-rate digital subscriber line 2) ( also known by British Telecomm as (FTTC) Fibre to the Cabinet) ( G.993.2). In contrast to ADSL, VDSL2 has an upstream data rate of 20 Mbps and a down-link data rate up to 80 Mbps.
Power Over Ethernet Ports
Because the 6540 is equipped with 4 x 10/100Mbps PoE / PoE+ ports and has the ability to transmit upstream at 20Mbps. This makes the 6540 ideal for high bandwidth applications such as IPTV, CCTV and monitoring in real time as well as Industrial Applications. Input voltage to provide PoE is between 23vdc and 55vdc.
Dual Gigabit Fibre
The 6540 supports Dual Gigabit Fibre (SFP) ports allowing the 6540 to be used on Fibre networks. Each fibre port supports 1.25 Gbps, therefore with its dual Gigabit Fibre ports the 6540 can provide an aggregate rate over fibre of 2.5 Gbps. These ports can be used to support local devices or as trunks on a Fibre network.
Designed to operate reliably in harsh conditions
Most Importantly the Case Communications 6540 has been designed to operate reliably for mission critical applications in harsh conditions without the use of fans. The 6540 is supplied as both a DIN Rail and, Rack mounted router, with power and all input / output on the front panel consequently making engineering support easy. The 6540 Industrial V.DSL / ADSL / Fibre Router is equipped with a last gasp facility allowing it send out an SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol ) Trap in the event of a power failure.
Ethernet Switch
The 6540 also contains an Ethernet switch with 4 x 10/100Mbps ports and two 10/100/1000Mbps Mini GBIC Ports. Furthermore the 6540 also has the ability to provide PoE / PoE+ to attached devices such as Pan and Tilt CCTV.
Security
The Case Communications 6540 has high levels of security supporting tunnelling protocols such as IP Sec and GRE Tunnelling. Encryption options include AES, and 3DES . Furthermore VLAN Tagging is supported, allowing VLAN Tags to be taken over the network to a remote subnet.
Management
The 6540 Industrial Router is managed locally or remotely via a Browser, SNMP V1/V2/V3 or via a Command Line Interface (CLI).
Multicast
The 6540 supports Multicast using PIM SM making the 6540 ideal for IP TV and CCTV Broadcast networks. Consequently as an Industrial router with Multicast support the 6540 is ideal for CCTV and security networks.
Phase 2 – Developments
Dry Relay Contacts
Dry Relay Contacts allow digital input / output. This allows the 6540 to control local devices such as door releases, or lights to be turned on or off etc. A locally triggered event, such as an alarm being triggered can be made to send an SNMP Trap to management station such as CaseView
Wi-Fi Module
The 6540 Industrial router is equipped with a Wi-Fi module making the 6540 into an AP (Access Point) or allowing alternate routes to other routers via the Wi-Fi Link.
MODBUS Support
The 6540 is equipped with an an RS232 / 485 port. This allows the 6540 to take in serial data and send messages to IP MODBUS devices. In addition the 6540 can send network status messages to a Remote Terminal Unit and set the MODBUS registers.
