Case Communications R3-8TX-24S-4SX RT 10Gbps Layer3 Ethernet switch

The Case Communications R3-8Tx-24S-4SX-RT  is a Layer 3 Industrial Ethernet Switch equipped with  8 x 10/100/1000Mbps Tx (Combo)  ports, 24 x 100 / 1000 SFP (Combo) Ports (i.e either 24 x SFP Ports or 16 x SFP and 8 x Tx ports ) and 4 x 10Gbps SFP Ports. The switch  has a 512 Gbps non-blocking backplane and can switch 92.32 Million packets per second. It  has 512MB of FLASH and 512Mb of RAM, ensuring its able to cope with the highest demands.

The Case Communications R3-8Tx-24S-4SX-RT 10Gbps  L3 Industrial Rack-Mount Ethernet Switch supports RIPv1 / v2 and IPv6 RIPng, OSPF v2 and IPv6 OSPFv3 as well as BGP4 and IPv6 BGP4+

The 10Gbps Layer3 Ethernet switch supports multiple network redundancy protocols such as STP (Spanning Tree Protocol (802.1D)), RSTP Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol (802.1w))>, MSTP (Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol (802.1s)) and ITU-T G.8032 (ERPS (Ethernet Ring Protection Switching).

The G.8032 Recommendation to provide sub-50ms protection and recovery switching for Ethernet traffic in a ring topology and at the same time ensuring that there are no loops formed at the Ethernet layer.

The Case Communications R3-8Tx-24S-4SX-RT can be managed via multiple managers using a Web Browser using HTTP / HTTPS (based on IPv4 & IPv6) , Multiple Telnet and SSH using IPv4 and IPv6 and SNMPv1 / v2C , V3.

SNMP v1, v2c and V3 is also supported and SNMP Traps based on IPv4 and IPv6 are supported. There are a number of standard MIBS as well as private MIBS

The R3-8Tx-24S-4SX-RT supports RMON (Remote Network Monitoring), a system log, port traffic statistics, and easy viewing of the networks optimisation. Diagnostics include CPU Utilisation, Memory Monitoring Ping detection, and cable length detection.

The Case Communications 10Gbps Layer3 Ethernet switch supports dynamic or static binding for the users, via an IP Address, MAC Address, VLAN or Ports etc. The R3-8P-24S-4X-RT supports ‘Port Isolation’ to prevent communications between two neighbouring devices within the same broadcast domain, which improves network stability. The R3-8Tx-24S-4SX-RT also supports ‘Storm Control’ and can suppress broadcast, Multi-cast and unicast storms.

Support for specific ARP inspections can effectively prevent ‘ARP Spoofing attacks’ which can be created by hackers or attackers via ARP Packets.
